Announcements for the Week of July 22, 2018
Sunday Worship Service Times are 8am in the Multi-Purpose Center & 10:30am in the Great Worship Center.
Adult Church School meets from 9:00am-10:15am.
J-Crew Next Generation Worship meets in the Youth Center at 10:30am for Junior & Senior High.
Children’s Sunday School (1st thru 6th grade) meets at 10:30am in the Education Center. 1st – 3rd Grade meets in Room 105/107 and 4th – 6th Grade meets in Room 106/108.
J-Crew2 Early Childhood Edition meets at 10:30am in the Elder Johnson Family Life Center. All children ages 3 years old thru Kindergarten are invited to attend.
Wednesday Evening Service – Hour of Power – in the Multi-Purpose Center from 7-8pm.
Counter Culture Club meets on Wednesday evenings at 6pm in Bishop’s Place. Our theme this year is Grace & Truth: Five Conversations Every Thoughtful Christian Should Have About Faith, Sexuality & Gender. Join us as we discuss the issues that face our churches and our country today.
The House of the Lord Prophetic Sword Conference is Friday, July 27 (7-9:30pm) and Saturday, July 28 (9am – 4pm) in the Multi-Purpose Center. Bishop Joey Johnson will be the keynote speaker on Friday followed by personal prophetic ministry. There will be workshops and “Creativity ARISE!” (a creative flow of writing, painting, prayer, and prophecy) on Saturday.
Sunday, July 29 is our 5th Sunday Family Worship Day. There will be no Church School.
Our Annual Discipleship Conference “The Myth of a Violent God” will be held on Saturday, August 4 from 8am – 12pm in Bishop’s Place. If you want to diffuse the myth of an angry and violent God, and rekindle and deepen your relationship with Him, you want to attend this dynamic, Spirit-filled conference! All leaders are asked to attend. Open to the public. Register in the Church Office or call 330.864.9073.
The 4th Annual Back2School Fair is Saturday, August 11 from 1-4pm in the Elder Johnson Family Life Center. We will be giving away back-packs and school supplies. All children must be accompanied by a parent. There will be face painting, food, games and prizes. Free haircuts provided by Beyond Expectations Barber College from 1-3pm. Donations are being accepted at the Back2School Table in the Foyer. Volunteers are needed.
Sunday, August 12 is WHITE Sunday! Everyone is asked to wear white as we educate and bring awareness to Diabetes. Join the White Out as we Wipe Out Diabetes!
Save the date! September 28-29, 2018, Marriage Retreat with Bishop Johnson and Pastor Cathy speaking. The event features a semi-formal dinner, dancing, overnight stay at Bertram Inn in Aurora. The 2nd payment of $125 is due. The total due is $300 per couple by July 29. Space is still available.
The Vibe meets on Wednesday evenings from 6 – 8 pm in the Youth Center. Specifically for middle and high school youth, there is food, fun, and games from 6-6:45pm, then Real Talk for Real Life from 7-8pm. All youth are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Chosen Daughters Ministry meet on 2nd and 4th Fridays from 5:30-6:45pm in the Youth Center. All young women ages 14 – 21 are welcome to attend. Join us as we develop life skills and learn to incorporate the Word of God into our everyday lives.
Blood Pressure Screenings on the 2nd & 4th Sunday following Second Service in the Narthex and on the 3rd Sunday following First Service in Conference Room 2.
