Announcements for the Week of September 15, 2019
Sunday Worship Service Times are 8:00am in the Multi-Purpose Center & 10:30am in the Great Worship Center.
Adult Church School meets from 9:15am-10:15am.
J-Crew Next Generation Worship meets in the Youth Center at 10:30am for Junior & Senior High.
Children’s Sunday School (1st-6th grade) meets at 10:30am in the Education Center. (1st–3rd grade) meets in Room 106/108 and (4th–6th grade) meets in Room 105/107.
J-Crew2, Early Childhood Edition meets at 10:30am in the Elder Johnson Family Life Center. All children ages 3 years old thru Kindergarten are invited to attend.
Wednesday Evening Service “Hour of Power” in the Multi-Purpose Center from 7-8pm.
Head to Heart Workshop begins Monday, September 16 from 6:00-8:30pm in Bishop’s Place. This life-changing journey is not simply about learning the truth of the Bible but integrating the truth into the heart. Cost is $60 (includes videos and workbook). Our 5th Sunday Family Worship is Sunday, September 29. There will be no Church School.
Beginning Monday, September 30 we will have NEW OFFICE HOURS. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 8am – 5pm. Wednesdays: 12pm – 7pm. Fridays: 8am – 12pm.
Leaders Meeting is Saturday, October 3 at 10am in Bishop’s Place. All leaders are asked to attend.
Love Connection Dinner, Dancing and Fun Games will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 6-10pm in the Elder Johnson Family Life Center. The cost is $55 per couple. Tickets are on sale following each service in the foyer. All couples are welcome.
If you’re in need of food assistance, we’re partnering with the Salvation Army and the Akron Canton Food Bank for a Food Distribution every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Next distribution, October 9. Bring an ID and your own bags/cart.
Sunday, October 13 is PINK Sunday! Everyone is asked to wear pink as we bring awareness to Breast Cancer. WWTIC will sponsor the Angel Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness. Registration begins on Wednesday, September 25 and continues through October 9 in the Foyer.
Wednesday Night Hour of Power and Sunday Morning sermons can be viewed on our You Tube Channel, The House of the Lord App and The House of the Lord website (www.thotl.org). Subscribe to our You Tube Channel by going to www.youtube.com and search for The Official THOTL Channel. Once there, click the subscribe button.
WWTIC Line Dancing meets in the Elder Johnson Family Life Center from 6:30-8:00pm. Everyone is welcome to participate.
Kingdom Kidz Choir Rehearsal will resume in the fall.

The Alzheimer’s Association Greater East Ohio Chapter sponsors individual support groups that meet in a variety of venues throughout the region. The Barberton Caregiver Support Group meets at the Barberton Public Library on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm. An Alzheimer’s Association support group is a gathering of people with common problems, needs and interests who come together to share their feelings, thoughts and experiences in a combined effort to better cope with and manage the shared problems of dementia in a safe environment. If anyone needs additional information or support, they are available 24/7 through their helpline at (800) 272-3900.
