Sunday Worship Service Times are 8:00am in the Multi-Purpose Center & 10:30am in the Great Worship Center.
Adult Church School meets from 9:15am-10:15am.
J-Crew Next Generation Worship meets in the Youth Center at 10:30am for Junior & Senior High.
Children’s Sunday School (1st – 6th grade) meets at 10:30am in the Fellowship Center.
J-Crew2, Early Childhood Edition meets at 10:30am in the Elder Johnson Family Life Center. All children ages 3 years old thru Kindergarten are invited to attend.
Wednesday Evening Service “Hour of Power” in the Multi-Purpose Center from 7-8pm. “If It Wasn’t for the Women and the Silent Crisis Between Black Women and Black Men.”
NEW OFFICE HOURS. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 8am – 5pm. Wednesdays: 12pm – 7pm. Fridays: 8am – 12pm.
Love Out Loud Christmas Giving Outreach is in full swing! A $50 donation will provide a Shoe Box for Operation Christmas Child and an Angel Tree Gift for a child of an incarcerated parent. The last day for shoe boxes is Sunday, November 24.
Coats for Kids is off and running! Please donate a coat for a kid in need. You can also Adopt a Student at the Coats for Kids table in the foyer. Coats will be distributed at the Family Fun Day Saturday, December 7 (a change in the original date) from 1-3pm at Stone Hedge Bowling Alley (580 E Cuyahoga Falls Ave., Akron 44310). All family members can bowl one game for free (includes shoes).
The Monica Gardner Legacy Diabetes Ministry will meet on Sunday, November 17 from 9:15-10:15am in Room 104. The topic is Thanksgiving and Christmas eating as healthy as I can. What should be my portion size? We have the answers! Everyone is welcome to attend.
Prophetic Ministry Boot Camp begins Thursday, November 21 and meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday from 6:30 – 8:30pmin the Great Commission Room. The Church Office and the Elder Johnson Family Life Center will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 28, Friday, November 29, and Monday, December 2. Have a blessed and safe holiday.
Save the Date! The Couple’s Council is hosting a Valentine’s Evening with dinner, dancing, and fun on February 14, 2020 from 6-10pm in the Elder Johnson Family Life Center. The cost is $55 per couple. Tickets go on sale Sunday, December 1.
Our annual Holiday Remembrance Service will be held on Sunday, December 8 during the 10:30am service. If you have lost a loved one or pet, this service is for you. Join us as we remember our loved ones during the holiday season. Everyone is welcome to participate.
If you’re in need of food assistance, we’re partnering with the Salvation Army and the Akron Canton Food Bank for a Food Distribution every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Next distribution, January 8 at the Salvation Army on Romig Rd. (2205 Romig Rd., Akron, OH 44320 not at THOTL) Bring an ID and your own bags/cart. Please note, there is no distribution in December.
The VIBE meets on 2nd Wednesdays from 6:45-8:00pm in the Youth Center and November 22 for VIBE Night Out. All Junior & Senior High Youth are invited to attend.

The Alzheimer’s Association Greater East Ohio Chapter sponsors individual support groups that meet in a variety of venues throughout the region. The Barberton Caregiver Support Group meets at the Barberton Public Library (602 West Park Ave., Barberton 44203) on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm. An Alzheimer’s Association support group is a gathering of people with common problems, needs and interests who come together to share their feelings, thoughts and experiences in a combined effort to better cope with and manage the shared problems of dementia in a safe environment. If anyone needs additional information or support, they are available 24/7 through their helpline at (800) 272-3900.
