Angela Gibbons

Pastor Angi, a native of Dayton, Ohio, is the church’s Pastor of Worship and Celebration Arts, and Audio/Visual Ministry. She is passionate about worship and believes creative arts are an amazing way to share the Gospel. Whether it be song, dance, drama, mime, art, spoken word or any other form, these methods offer a special way to set the worship atmosphere, enhance the whole of worship service, and provide inspiration, encouragement and hope to those who experience them. 

Since her childhood, Pastor Angi has been involved in music. She began singing in the Children’s Choir at age 5, and soon after began taking piano lessons. From the Children’s Choir to the Youth Choir all the way to the church’s Combined Choir, singing and playing the piano became an integral part of her youth, at her home church in Dayton. She continued to hone her musical skills by studying classical piano through private lessons, participating in The Gospel Music Workshop of America Choir – Dayton Chapter and the Ohio Baptist General Convention State Youth Mass Choir. 

Pastor Angi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Akron and a Masters of Arts in Worship Studies and Ethnomusicology from Liberty University. She and her husband Jerrett have two beautiful adult children, Whitney and Maleah. She enjoys playing the piano, writing music, working out, cooking, baking and traveling.
