Linda Isaiah
Linda accepted Christ at the age of 8 in her hometown of Waynesburg, Ohio. She knew then God had a call on her life. After moving to Akron, she joined The House of the Lord and has served faithfully for more than 40 years in various ministries. Because of her struggles in childhood, Pastor Linda had a burden to create an environment of safety for children. It was important to her that the gospel could be preached uninterrupted. She faithfully changed diapers, rocked crying babies and missed important celebrations for 35 years.
On March 25, 2015, Bishop Johnson and the Elders Board acknowledged Linda’s work supporting hurting women. She was ordained as a pastor over “LCI Ministries,” a ministry of “Hope” for women. On March 31, 2021, Pastor Linda was ordained an Elder and Pastor over the Bereavement Ministry of the church.
Pastor Linda is a certified Grief Recovery Specialist and Mental Health Coach. She’s also completed Logos Bible Institute’s three-year Systematic Theology Program.
Pastor Linda met and married the late Rev. Erroll Isaiah at the church. They shared 37 years of marriage and one son, Erroll II. Being a widow presented a new challenge for her, however challenges only serve as motivation for her to start something new. The Widow of Worth Support Group was birthed out of her grief.
Pastor Linda especially enjoys spending time her son Erroll II, brothers and girlfriends. When she’s not ministering to grieving families, she enjoys NFL football games, reading mystery novels, deep-tissue massages and fine chocolate. However, her favorite thing to do is to travel.
